Johnathon Paholke serves as MABAS – IL Fire Service Intelligence Specialist embedded daily in the Statewide Terrorism and Intelligence Center (STIC) in Springfield. His duties include providing subject matter expertise regarding fire, EMS and Hazmat Operations to the fusion center, assembling and disseminating intelligence and information across the Illinois fire service, as well as educating and recruiting fire service personnel to serve as intelligence liaison officers for their divisions. Johnathon has 15 years of emergency service experience. He began his career as an EMS dispatcher for a private ambulance service in central Illinois. From there he went on to be a 911 Telecommunicator where he spent 12 years with Effingham City 911 as a Communications Training Officer. Johnathon began his fire service career in 2006 as a Firefighter/EMT with the Shumway Fire Protection District, a volunteer department on the northwest side of Effingham. Johnathon has worked his way up through the ranks and is currently a Battalion Chief. He holds several state certifications including Fire Investigator, Instructor I, & Hazardous Materials Technician B.Johnathon is also a member on the Effingham County 911 Board, the Effingham County Ambulance Oversight Committee, MABAS – IL Telecommunications, Communications, and Dispatch Centers (TCD) Committee, MABAS Division 54 Box Card Committee. He has also served as assistant team leader to the MABAS 54 Haz-Mat Team, Instructor for the MABAS 54 Firefighter II Academy and Lieutenant with the Effingham County Dive Team.
